Reduction of measuring and testing times for threads in dental implants through the use of an automatic screw nut gauge
Efficiency through innovation
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root inserted into the jawbone. Usually the implant is made of titanium and has the shape of a hollow screw. The implant is screwed into the bone with the external thread. The abutment, also called abument, is attached to the implant body by means of a retaining screw (abutment screw) and thus creates the connection between the crown, abutment and implant body.
Especially in the field of rational thread testing of dental implants, JBO can come up trumps with innovations.
The automatic screw nut gauge has been specially developed for rational testing of the thread gauge accuracy and measurement of the thread depth of small components such as dental implants.
The device has 2 measuring modes. In measuring mode 1, the actual thread depth in blind holes can be determined. In measuring mode 2, a defined minimum dimension is queried. This mode is mostly used in through hole threads but also in blind hole threads.
The minimum value (MIN) and maximum value (MAX) can be defined via the display unit for both measuring modes. The depth measurement value, which indicates the thread depth, can be read off. A green light means that the thread is OK, a red light with a soft honking sound means, that the thread is outside the MIN/MAX values.
